Crown Vacation Rentals Terms & Conditions.
CHECK-IN: Check-in is at 4 PM or later. You will receive an arrival letter in your email three days before your arrival. This email will contain the Room Access code, Building Door Code, Gate Codes, and all the details needed for your arrival. Keys for entry will NOT be provided. You won’t receive the Arrival Letter e-mail if your account has a balance. Early check-ins are not allowed; there are no exceptions.
CHECK OUT: Check-out time is 11 AM. We often have rentals departing and arriving on the same day, and the cleaning service has limited time to clean. Late check-outs are not allowed. Late check-out fees may apply.
PAYMENT: A prepayment equal to 50% of rent is due at the time of booking. Payment in full, including the remaining 50% of rent, fees, and taxes, are due 30 days in advance of arrival and will automatically be charged to your card on file.
CANCELLATIONS
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Reservations are confirmed when we receive the guest’s 50% rent prepayment.
Conditions:
- A prepayment of 50% of total reservation fees is due at booking.
- Full payment is due and charged 30 days before arrival.
- Reservations must be canceled at least 30 days before check-in to receive a full refund minus a 5% processing fee.
- Cancellations made 29 – 15 days before check-in will be refunded 50% of the total amount minus a 5% processing fee.
- Reservations made within 30 days of arrival; full payment is due when booking.
- Changing dates or shortening stays are not allowed after the final payment is made.
- There are no refunds for late arrivals, early departures, or no-shows.
- Cancellations less than 15 days prior to arrival date are non-refundable.
- There are no refunds for poor snow conditions, severe weather conditions, smoke,
late arrivals, early departures, no-shows, travel conditions, road closures, allergies,
health or medical issues, utility or water outages, construction at neighboring
properties, HOA construction, or anything else beyond Crown Vacation Rentals’ control.
We do not make exceptions to our cancellation policy.
AGE REQUIREMENTS: Guests under 21 unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian will not be permitted to register and will lose all funds paid to Crown Vacation Rentals. Reservations made under false pretenses will result in loss of advance payments and removal of guests from the rental unit. Crown Vacation Rentals reserves the right to refuse reservations.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The county has strict laws governing the occupancy of rentals. Please do not exceed the maximum occupancy of your rental. The maximum occupancy is defined as 2 adults per bedroom plus 2 additional people. Children under the age of twelve (12) are exempt. Exceeding the maximum occupancy of your rental is not only a fire hazard but also violates County laws and may result in extra fees, fines, or eviction. At no time are large gatherings, parties, weddings, or celebrations allowed beyond the maximum occupancy of your rental.
QUIET HOURS / NOISE: Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. Noise complaints from neighbors are taken seriously and may result in eviction.
DAMAGE/THEFT/VANDALISM: Guests understand that under California laws, they can and will be held liable and charged for any and all damages, theft, vandalism, and/or any excessive cleaning incurred by my party or visiting guests. Guests understand it is their responsibility to check the room upon arrival and report any damages to Donner Lake Village Staff immediately. Guest is liable for any repairs or replacements except what is determined as “normal wear and tear” by Crown Vacation Rentals. Any damages will be charged to the credit card on file or requested through third-party booking sites. If the damage cost exceeds the credit card limit on file, the Guest will pay the difference to Crown Vacation Rentals.
PARKING: Parking Passes for all units are for ONE parking spot, except for Two bedrooms. Two bedrooms receive TWO parking passes. Donner Lake Village does not have parking for commercial vehicles or semi-trailer trucks.
RESERVATION CHANGE FEE – All reservations that need date and/or property changes are subject to a non-refundable $25 rescheduling fee per change. All changes must be made 30 days or more prior to the arrival date.
RENTAL REASSIGNMENT – Crown Vacation Rentals reserves the right to change the rental assignment (property) without notice or liability in the event of the sale of the property or if the unit becomes unavailable or uninhabitable. We will provide something comparable or better and offer this or a full refund to the guest.
PETS: The guest acknowledges that NO PETS (including visitors who bring pets) are allowed at any Donner Lake Village units or in the Donner Lake Village HOA property and common areas. Unauthorized occupancy of pets (including visiting pets) will result in a fine of up to $250.00, immediate eviction, and loss of all rent and fees. Service dogs are not considered pets but you will need to check in with the front desk in person to ask you a few questions and receive information about the dog regulations. Per California law, we cannot deny the stay of a service dog but we can apply any other rule regarding your stay including but not limited to DAMAGE, NOISE/QUIET HOURS, and CLEANING. any additional cleaning will be charged at $75/hour if dog hair, food, stains, or any other damage is found in the property or common areas. Violating any other rule will be enough reason to ask you to leave the property.
LOST ITEMS: Crown Vacation Rentals nor Donner Lake Village will be responsible for guest(s) private property left behind or lost during the stay. Donner Lake Village Front Office will hold forgotten items for 2 weeks after your departure before disposing of or donating them.
SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed in or around any Donner Lake Village Rentals Unit or in the property and common areas, except for designated outdoor
smoking areas. Please check with the Donner Lake Village Front Desk or the Property map sent to your e-mail for designated smoking areas. Smoking in any Donner Lake Village Unit or in the property and common areas (except for designated outdoor smoking areas) will result in a minimum property recovery fee of $250.00 and immediate eviction.
CLEANING: Each unit will be inspected and cleaned after your departure. The cleaning fee that you have paid will cover normal cleaning. Any cleaning beyond
normal cleaning will be charged to you at a rate of $70/hour. You must leave the property in the same general condition that you found it.
INTERNET – THE INTERNET IN THE MOUNTAINS IS UNPREDICTABLE; WE DO NOT REFUND FOR SLOW INTERNET:
During the Winter, power outages, including cable and internet, are common in this area. Outages can last anywhere from hours to days—please be prepared for these circumstances. Donner Lake Village has high-speed internet access; however, the mountain weather can affect this, along with cell service. Your Donner Lake Village unit is also equipped with a landline that can be used for local calls only.
DONNER LAKE VILLAGE OWNERS ASSOCIATION: Donner Lake Village is governed by HOA Association rules and regulations. You are subject to these while staying at
this property. Crown Vacation Rentals is not responsible for managing the HOA amenities, construction, or maintenance. Crown Vacation Rentals does not refund for inconvenience related to the HOA, which is outside our control.
CONSTRUCTION & OTHER NUISANCES: Crown Vacation Rentals is not responsible for impacts of nearby events or construction that may hinder the guest’s quiet enjoyment of the property.
