This was a beautiful location!!! 2 things made it 4 instead of 5 stars. First, the bed seemed to be leaning off to one side. It made it difficult to sleep and get comfortable. Maybe a broken frame??? The other thing was the lack of a real coffee pot. We were supplied with a small hotel style coffee maker. We expected that a home/Vrbo would be equipped with a drip full-size coffee maker or a Keurig type coffee maker. Ended up going to the store to buy a coffee maker that would work for us over the five days that we were going to be staying there. The mornings would have been more homey and comfortable had the coffee situation been made a little bit more reasonable. Other than those two things, the condo was very nice. We had an amazing time ,and preferred staying at this location on Donner Lake rather than dealing with all the commotion at Lake Tahoe.

We enjoyed our stay this week. The room was clean and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable as well. The view is amazing! My only complaint is the thin drapes across the sliding glass door. It would be nice if a thicker material was used to reduce morning sunlight. I’m also curious if there was construction on the floor above us which may have been the cause on the constant thumping noise. Altogether, we enjoyed our stay and will likely return to enjoy.

How do I reach the Donner Lake?
Donner Lake is located 75 miles northeast of Sacramento; simply take the I-80 east out of Sacramento, heading towards Reno/Lake Tahoe.

No we do not: there are many fantastic restaurants in the area, but there are no restaurants n the property.
